The Kassel marathon is scheduled to take place this year on May 20th. We'll be participating and so can you!
After our two relay teams had a great time running the Kassel marathon last year, we made a unanimous decision: we want to run in 2012 too! With 16 participants, we managed to double the number of plentymarkets runners that we had last year. Both of our CEOs will be running as well. Now we want to know: can we find any courageous (and sporty) plentymarkets customers who want to compete against us in the relay event? We'll end the day with an After-Marathon-Party where the most successful runners will be awarded with a prize.
The eight plentymarkets employees who took on our 2011 marathon challenge
The Kassel marathon is a well-established event during the German marathon season. More than 10,000 runners participated in 2011 and 70,000 spectators watched the event from the sidelines. This year, the Kassel marathon will take place on Sunday, May 20th. The starting gun will sound at 9am. We would like to invite all of our customers to join the race in Kassel by participating in a plentymarkets customer team.
Each team member runs one leg of the race (approx. 10km) and hands off the baton to the next runner in a designated zone. Together, the four runners complete the entire marathon distance of 42.195km. You can register as a team (of four people) or you can sign-up alone. If you sign-up alone, then we'll place you in a team with other customers.
Of course, we will cover the 90 Euro starting costs for each team. After the marathon, we'll be inviting all participating customers and plentymarkets employees to join us at an After-Marathon-Party where we will celebrate a job well done and award the best runners with a prize.
