SEPA is here!
SEPA finally came into effect on February 1st, 2014. Many banking institutions stopped supporting the DTA format for direct debits and bank transfers. We are prepared for this migration: learn how to generate SEPA direct debits and SEPA bank transfers with plentymarkets.
Pain001 and Pain008
No, these are not about what a pain it might be to introduce SEPA. The data format for SEPA bank transfers is called Pain001 and the data format for SEPA direct debits is Pain008. Both data formats are supported by plentymarkets. They can be used within the processes editor in the plentymarkets Client.

Really a standard?!
We stuck to the ISO norms when implementing this feature. However, banking institutions interpret these norms differently. Some require all transactions in only one file, whereas others require one unzipped XML file or expect data fields that other banks view as optional. Therefore, we developed several settings so that you can customize the export to meet your bank's needs. If your bank does not provide you with technical information, you can test different settings.
If your bank should still not accept your transaction file, have one of your bank's technical contacts check your file manually. We noticed that around February 1st, 2014, some banking institutions installed new software versions that caused different kinds of errors, which suddenly disappeared after a few hours or days. These errors also occurred when using EBICS.
