The new plentymarkets Client version 121 has been released today and offers important improvements for printing documents and labels.
We have replaced the module for processing print jobs and can now offer compatibility with important label printers. Moreover, we have revised the section Settings » Basic settings » Printer. You can now check your printer settings by printing a test page. Save your settings once you are satisfied with the result.
If you are working with a label printer, we recommend selecting Custom in the Paper Size menu. You will then have the possibility to define the exact dimension of a label. Be aware that some printers will immediately create a second (empty) label if you have entered the wrong sizes.
With Mac OS X you might not be able to select printers in this area (error message code 2000). This error only occurs in some Mac OS X versions. In these cases, the option "share this printer on the network" should be activated for at least one printer. You will find this option in the System Preferences … » Print & Scan menu.
We will add standard label sizes to the selectable paper sizes in the near future. By the way, our development department uses printers by Zebra. Label printers by this vendor are amongst the most widely used devices on the market and are particularly suitable for printing large numbers of labels. Therefore we are testing and optimizing label prints primarily with these devices. For use as a desktop printer, we recommend the following model: Zebra GC420d.
Furthermore, we are currently working on a comprehensive video documentation with examples for realizing the full potential of the plentymarkets Client in managing shipping and sales order processes.
