Despite rocking at the pre-show party the night before, the audience was wide awake when Jan Griesel kicked off the Congress with his keynote the next morning. Transparent communication, POS integration and plugins
CEO Jan Griesel began his keynote by introducing the new communication platform. The former ticket system and forum will be integrated in it. The new communication platform allows us to forward customer queries to the most knowledgeable specialists in the field and answer our customers' questions more quickly. Afterwards, Jan Griesel spoke of an easy way for online sellers to enter stationary trading, i.e. by opening pop-up-stores in their local area. Mobile scanning devices, wireless printers and a smartphone app make it possible.

Griesel went on to highlight plentymarkets' positioning as a cloud commerce service provider and the new item structure in the software. However, the main topic of his keynote was allowing users to create plugins for the ERP system. Jan Griesel presented the technologies that will be used for the plugins and encouraged plentymarkets users to select those tools that will be the most important for their own individual stores. In a subsequent workshop, he further explained how to create plugins with an example.

Not only was there fierce competition for the e-commerce Award this year, but there were also many fierce Guitar Hero battles at the plentymarkets stand. Some guests even took home a permanent souvenir from our tattoo studio. The Congress ended with a grand finale by one of Kassel's own local bands ROCKMASCHINE.
