In this blog we want to announce two new PayPal features. We also have news about the new item structure in plentymarkets. Don't miss out!
PayPal PLUS
We are happy to announce that we have completed integrating PayPal PLUS into our system. At the moment, we are only waiting for PayPal's approval to release the integration. As soon as PayPal gives us the green light, we will add the feature to the beta version that is current at that point in time and then release it for all plentymarkets users in the stable version the following week.
PayPal Settlement Report
The next PayPal improvement is only relevant to major PayPal customers: The PayPal Settlement Report. If you generate huge amounts of PayPal payments on a daily basis, we recommend that you book the settlement report for the order processing module in our product configurator this week. This is to guarantee that your daily PayPal payments are synchronized in full.
New item structure
Although the new item structure in plentymarkets is nearly finished, we will not roll out this new feature before Christmas. In order to create the new item structure, we not only had to make changes to the item menu but also to several other menus and functions throughout the system. For example, both the SOAP API and the item import data formats had to undergo changes for the new structure.
We decided to wait with the release because we do not want our users to switch to the new structure without being aware of the consequences these changes may have. For example, we do not want our users to suddenly panic if they use other connected systems that are not yet compatible with the new structure. We especially do not want our users to have any such negative consequences during the Christmas shopping season. So we will take the time for further improvements. We prioritized a module for configuring your own exports to price comparison portals or the like.
You can expect our beta tests of the changes at the end of January or in February. We only want to start the testing once the sellers' Christmas season is completely over.
