We've done it: the 10th annual plentymarkets Online Sellers Congress is over and has left us with lots of great memories. Sellers got an inside look at several exciting, new developments for plentymarkets. They also enjoyed listening to informative lectures, strolling through the extensive trade fair and participating in the CodeCamp, which ran parallel to the event. This article takes you on a journey through space and looks at several highlights from the event!

plentymarkets Online Sellers Congress 2017

Welcome to the mother ship

plentymarkets CEO Jan Griesel kicked off the event by giving his traditional keynote address. As soon as he began speaking, we were sure the event would be a great success. The blue auditorium was bursting with visitors, who listened attentively to his speech, which touched on the change process that plentymarkets went through over the last several months and then focused on new plentymarkets features, such as plentyMarketplace and the new online store, Ceres.

The rest of the day was one highlight after another: visitors enjoyed a series of top lectures on the main stage, while the plenty stage was a non-stop presentation of the latest advances in plentymarkets. There was also never a dull moment at the trade fair: here visitors were able to chat with approximately 60 well-known companies and get information about their products and services. The plentymarkets stand was also bustling with activity. Most visitors were particularly interested in plentymarkets POS and used the chance to try out the new point of sale platform themselves.

The event had something for everyone. Along with the main stage and the plenty stage, there were another 4 stages where visitors could learn about a wide range of topics relating to e-commerce.

First time on board: plugin pilots and hostile aliens

We're especially proud of our CodeCamp, which was docked onto the Online Sellers Congress for the first time ever. Code fanatics had the chance to learn all about programming their own plentymarkets plugins. The highlight was a fully functional blog plugin, which was created during the live coding sessions throughout the day.

Visitors were able to avoid information overload by relaxing in between sessions. They could battle aliens in virtual reality, slide down an inflatable rocketship or play a game of pinball on one of the machines in the event hall. And of course, there were many opportunities to network and chat with other sellers over a cup of coffee.

The event wouldn't be complete without a bit of celebration. At the end of the day, the plenty award 2017 went to the best plentymarkets shop in the universe. After an exciting head-to-head race, the award this year went to Original-Räder.de

Light speed ahead to the after party

The Congress officially came to an end with a fireworks show, which celebrated our 10-year milestone. Visitors who were still full of energy made their way to Kassel's Weinkirche, where the party continued until the early hours of the morning.

Additional photos of the galactic event are found on our events page.

…but we weren't able to do it alone!

We want to thank everyone who was involved – you made the 10th plentymarkets Online Sellers Congress an unforgettable event. We're already looking forward to welcoming you back to Kassel next year!

Live long and prosper!
Your plenty Crew
