Amazon allowed you to use a few HTML tags in your item data until about a year ago. These tags were for creating lists, line breaks and bold font. However, Amazon has changed its policies and no longer permits HTML tags. We want to make sure that you meet Amazon's requirements and avoid being reprimanded. Therefore, HTML tags are no longer transferred to Amazon from the item description and other item data. Go to Settings » Markets » Amazon » Basic settings to specify which description should be transferred from plentymarkets to Amazon as the item description. Here you can choose whether the standard description, the preview text or a free text field should be transferred to Amazon as the description. The technical data will still be transferred as a list and entered into the columns Bullet Point 1 through Bullet Point 5 on Amazon.
Since it is no longer possible to visually emphasize individual keywords, we recommend that you write a short, easily understandable and informative item description for Amazon. Furthermore, we recommend that you transfer your product specifications as technical data so that they are clearly displayed as a list.

Please note the general policies

The following policies apply when creating offers on Amazon:

  • All products should be appropriately and accurately classified to the most specific location available. Incorrectly classifying products is prohibited.
  • Product titles, product descriptions, and bullets must be clearly written and should assist the customer in understanding the product. These attributes should comply with the category-specific style guide recommendations.
  • All product images must meet Amazon.com image standards as well as any applicable category-specific image guidelines.
  • Using bad data (HTML, special characters */? etc.) in titles, descriptions, bullets and for any other attribute is prohibited.

Check your offers on Amazon and change the item texts as needed.
